SrA Kira Holley Global Collection Manager assigned to the 566th Intellegence Squadron was chosen as Chapter 1179's 2006 First Term Airman of the Year. Over 105 people packed into the Buckley AFB Chapel Fellowship Hall on 12 Apr 2007 to attend the FTAY luncheon as SrA Holley was selected over 12 other outstanding nominees. 

This year's guest speaker for the luncheon was CMSgt Kevin Candler, Command Chief for the 460th Space Wing. 

     Airman Holley then competed against other Division 11 FTAY winners at the annual Division 11/12 Convention which took place 17-19 May 2007 in Colorado Springs, CO.  Although Airman Holley was not selected as Division 11's FTAY winner, she stole the show when she walked into the banquet withCMSAF Bob Gaylor as her escort for the evening.  CMSAF Gaylor was also this year's guest speaker at the Saturday night FTAY awards banquet.
